Whether you are a beginner or have tried sewing and have some basic knowledge , this is the class for you. Zoe can help you with an existing project or get you started on something else .

Why not come along a make a dress in a day with our dressmaking tutor Kate. We have patterns you will be able to use but need to bring please ........22' inch zip, 1.3m of fabric if fabric 150cm wide,2.3m if fabric 115cm wide , matching thread . fabrics could be a light weight denim, medium weight cotton , wool mix, linen blend,. Please bring a simple sewing kit. (Pins , scissors , needle, measuring tape, tailors chalk.)

Easy Trousers October 12th 2024 10am-3pm £45 Its so difficult to find trousers that fit. Come along to our workshop and make the perfect pair of wide leg loose fitting pants. They have front pleats and side pockets and an elasticated waist band so NO zip . Please bring sewing kit and you also need:
2.2m-2.9m of lightweight fabric (eg soft cotton linen chambray, viscose ~Tencel or woven polyester)
Matching thread
1m of 3cm wide waistband elastic
30cm iron on interfacing
size Uk 6-22 (Hip measurements 92cm-127cm )
OVERLOCKER WORKSHOP . . £45 10am-4pm. Saturday TUTOR KATE OCTOBER 2024
This workshop will teach you how to use your overlocker. Participants are welcome to bring their own machine with instruction manual or they can use one of our Janome models. We will cover
How to use the machine and set it up correctly. How to thread the machine and change the thread. How to look after your overlocker, and the different stitch types and where to use them.
Do bring 1-1.5m medium weight jersey with maching thread to make your own stretch top.

This is for people who know how to sew and want to use commercial patterns and make garments to fit . You will need to bring a pattern (easy recomended) and your own pre washed cotton fabric, a simple sewing kit (scissors, pins, tailors chalk, stitch unpicker, tape measure, ).
